Steamed Veggies with Sweet and Sour Sesame Oil Dip


Seasonal vegetables
Sesame oil – 2 tablespoons
Cornstarch – 1 tablespoon
Vinegar – ¼ cup
Sea salt – 1 tablespoon
Sugar – 1 teaspoon

Prep Time – 10 minutes
Steam Time – 10 minutes
Total Time – 20 minutes

  • 1 Cut the vegetables into equal sizes and let them cook gently for a few minutes in the bamboo steamer.
  • 2Heat a saucepan over medium-high heat and add the vinegar, the salt, and the sugar.
  • 3Whisk frequently into the saucepan, drizzle in the cornstarch dissolved in a few drops of cold water, and the sesame oil.
  • 4Whisk until it starts thickening and remove from the heat.
  • 5When the vegetables are steamed, serve them with the hot dipping sauce on the side.
