Cast iron

Guided by a deep-rooted appreciation for the history of cast iron in the kitchen, we set out to develop enameled cast iron cookware that marries tradition and sustainability.

Meet Milo cookware - crafted with 40% recycled iron, heat resistant to 500℉, made to pass on for generations.

When we set out to make goods better, that also meant finding ways to cut down on waste within our industries production process. When we were looking for our manufacturing partner it was important to us that we shared the same values and would work with us to divert manufacturing waste from the landfill.

Why only 40%?

Our goal is to make cast iron pieces that can be passed down for generations, so it needs to be durable. Using 100% recycled iron would impact the quality, resulting in a softer piece. Our 40% blend helps divert iron from the landfill while ensuring durability.

Tri-ply clad stainless steel

When designing our bakeware, it was important to us to rethink the status-quo and turn typically utilitarian pieces into an everyday staple deserving of your precious cabinet space.

They needed to be beautiful but also durable, highly versatile, and kindly non-toxic.

Why tri-ply clad stainless steel?

Durability

Tri-ply clad is incredibly durable and won’t warp at high heat. Milo Bakeware is heat resistant up to 1000℉.

Efficient heat retention

The aluminum core enhances Milo’s heat retention properties and helps the bakeware maintain a consistent temperature.

Even heat distribution

The stainless steel exterior with the aluminum core ensures excellent heat distribution across the entire surface, eliminating hotspots and allowing for even baking results.

Non-toxic

The 304 grade stainless steel outer layers prevent the aluminum from coming into contact with your food, providing a safe and more natural baking option than anti-stick coated bakeware on the market.

Versatility

We envisioned a departure from the status quo parchment paper on the market. Made from eco-friendly wood pulp with a natural silicone coating, it fits perfectly in our bakeware and cookware, reduces waste, and decomposes in just 20 weeks.

For our parchment paper, we turned our attention to Finland. Renowned for their pristine forests and sustainable forestry practices, Finland offers us the finest wood pulp for our parchment paper.

By sourcing our materials from Finland, we not only support responsible and eco-friendly production, but we also guarantee that our parchment paper meets the highest standards of purity and excellence.

Recycled polyester

Our felt trivets are made from 100% polyester derived from post-consumer plastic bottles and divert 12 plastic bottles from our landfills and waterways per set. When we set out to make our trivets we knew they needed to be beautiful and durable, but we also wanted them to help solve a larger problem within our society, which is why we wanted to go with recycled polyester.

Why China?

When looking for a partner to help bring our felt trivets to life, it was important to us that we shared the same vision and values. We needed a partner that would help us source 100% recycled materials, diverting plastic bottles from landfills, and not everyone is willing to do so.

We knew we wanted to offer a more sustainable alternative to kitchen sponges and paper towels, and in our minds, nothing compares to the power of a Swedish dishcloth. Lasting up to 200 washes at high heat, they are a sustainable alternative to synthetic kitchen cloths that are known to leave traces in our waterways. Given our consideration in working with countries that are experts in their fields, we could only consider producing them in Sweden even if many other countries are now producing them.
